kulô is a brand based in Fribourg that specializes in tableware products made from empty bottles collected from partner restaurants.
Origin of the name:
In Gruyère dialect, kulô means the "bottom" of a bottle.
From family adventure to social enterprise
Founded in 2020 by two sisters, Camille and Charlotte, kulô has grown with passion over the past five years.
In the fall of 2025, they will pass the baton to the Center for Socio-Professional Integration (CIS), which will continue the adventure by combining its environmental commitment and social mission: offering beneficiaries the opportunity to develop new skills while creating unique objects.
An ethical and aesthetic alternative
Since its inception, kulô has championed responsible consumption, where quality, sustainability, detail, and design go hand in hand.
Minimalist and elegant, each item proves that an eco-friendly, handmade product can be refined and aesthetically pleasing.
More than just an object, kulô embodies the convergence of design, sustainability, and inclusion in the heart of Fribourg.
A demanding craft
Each bottle is carefully collected, cut, and processed in small batches. Behind the apparent simplicity lies a long and rigorous process that combines manual expertise and specialized tools, without automation.

Local and inclusive production
From cutting to packaging, each step is carried out in our workshop by people with disabilities, supported by socio-professional mentors.
Everything is handled in-house: design, production, packaging, and communication.
Swiss quality, lasting impact
At kulô, sustainability is not a selling point, but a guiding principle:
• limit environmental impact,
• promote human skills,
• offer products that combine simplicity and excellence.
We believe that everyday objects can be meaningful, and we invite you to join us on this journey.
