kulô is a Fribourg-based brand specializing in tableware made from empty bottles collected from partner restaurants.

Name origin :

A word from the Gruyère dialect, kulô means the "bottom" of the bottle.

From family adventure to social enterprise

Founded in 2020 by two sisters, Camille and Charlotte, kulô has been growing with passion for five years.

In autumn 2025, they will pass the baton to the Centre d'Intégration Socioprofessionnelle (CIS), which will continue the adventure by combining its environmental commitment with its social mission: to offer beneficiaries the opportunity to develop new skills while creating unique objects.

An ethical and aesthetic alternative

From the outset, kulô has championed responsible consumption, where quality, sustainability, detail and design go hand in hand.
Minimalist and elegant, each object proves that an ecological, handmade product can be both refined and aesthetically pleasing.

More than just an object, kulô embodies the meeting of design, sustainability and inclusion, in the heart of Fribourg.

Demanding craftsmanship

Each bottle is carefully collected, cut and processed in small batches. Behind the apparent simplicity, a long and rigorous process combines manual know-how and specialized tools, without automation.

Local, inclusive production

From cutting to packaging, each stage is carried out in our workshop by disabled people, accompanied by socio-professional supervisors.

Everything is handled in-house: design, production, packaging and communication.

Swiss quality, sustainable impact

At kulô, sustainability is not an argument, but a guideline:

- limit environmental impact,
- enhance human skills,
- offer products that combine simplicity and excellence.

We believe that everyday objects can be meaningful, and we invite you to follow us.
